bolsa de terras

Bolsa de Terras was a pilot program for professional training in regenerative agriculture that sought to create the conditions for new residents to settle in the territory through the regenerative process.

Through three distinct phases – capacity building, supervision, and autonomous practice – Terra Sintrópica provided structured, long-term support that sought to develop transversal skills for the development of agricultural activity in extremely challenging conditions.

Bolsa de Terras served as a future model for a new concept of a living school of regeneration, where technical knowledge and the values of resilience, collaboration and connection are cultivated side-by-side.

This project inspired the Land of Shelter project, which adapted the same methodology to the professional training of Afghan refugees welcomed in Mértola, and will now give rise to a new stage through the ARCo strategy – Collaborative Rural Academy – a strategy at the scale of the Baixo Alentejo that expands this training model to other economic sections and seeks to respond systemically to the challenge of rural desertification.
